Originally from Levittown NY, I currently reside somewhere along the coast in California with my wife/co-author Helen.
A lot of my creativity was born from my lifelong love of science fiction and horror. As a child I grew up on the original Dark Shadows, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Doctor Who (which I still follow) and Anime.
A few of my favorite authors are HP Lovecraft, Jane Austen, Robert Asprin, Jodi Lynn Nye, Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, and so many more.
However, I do not spend all our time sitting behind a desk writing. I like to get out and try new things. We also like to explore new places, sometimes with family or friends. I've gotten plenty of ideas thanks to these adventures. I like to draw from personal experience because I feel it lends a bit of authenticity to a story and its characters. Which is probably why Helen and I still love to attend conventions which involve sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, you name it. Yes, we are Geeks and proud of it.
For those of you not familiar with a Hobbit Birthday Party it goes like this… Â My birthday is coming up on March 30th, but instead of asking for presents I’m giving one away to anyone who wants it. The present in this case is a FREE Kindle copy of “The Vampyre Blogs – Coming…
Just found this novella a few weeks ago and was thrilled to get another chance to read it. I’d read it once before many years ago, but I had thought it lost and was delighted to find it was simply among my books in storage. Mr. Campbell did a wonderful job of creating a terrifying…
Here is the 3rd and last installment of our adventures at this magical and wondrous house. I hope you all have enjoyed seeing these wonders. A Merry Christmas to you all, and a Happy New Year too.
Okay folks I have 25 first edition prints of my novel “The Bridge”. I just finished creating a 2nd edition. What’s the difference between 1st and 2nd? There were errors that got past me and my helpers in the 1st edition. This is the same version that had earned me 4 and 5 star reviews….
Another lovely surprise, I was given another award for my blogging. Â This time it’s the “Inspiring Blog Award. Â And I want to start with a big thank you to the person who nominated me Raani York whose blog you can find at this Link: http://raaniyork.wordpress.com/ I strongly urge you to go check her blog out,…

That sounds good, Allan. You seem to be quite trained to do that, in the meantime!
I’ve done a lot of reading aloud to Helen and our cats. Plus I’ve had a number of people at work tell me I have a good voice and that I should try creating audiobooks. So I finally took the plunge a year ago.
If you think that was impressive, just keep checking Helens’ website. We’ve shared the first 5 chapters there already, and I’ll be cutting everyone off in a week or so (so if they want to hear the rest they’ll have to get the audiobook. After that I’ll start sharing the beginning chapters of her 2nd book with Rafael and company.
But what I’m really looking forward to is December when I share my audio narration of Dickens “A Christmas Carol” on YouTube. I read the entire unabridged tale, and supply unique voices for every character along with some sound effects. I also scoured the internet for Public Domain Imagery that has been created for various published editions over the years to give the viewers visuals along with my narration. So stay tuned…
Thanks so very much for sharing this, Allan. I’ll stay tuned!
Much appreciated.
