Veteran’s Day 2022
Reblogged from Aurora Jean Alexander’s blog “Writer’s Treasure Chest“…
Originally from Levittown NY, I currently reside somewhere along the coast in California with my wife/co-author Helen.
A lot of my creativity was born from my lifelong love of science fiction and horror. As a child I grew up on the original Dark Shadows, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Doctor Who (which I still follow) and Anime.
A few of my favorite authors are HP Lovecraft, Jane Austen, Robert Asprin, Jodi Lynn Nye, Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, and so many more.
However, I do not spend all our time sitting behind a desk writing. I like to get out and try new things. We also like to explore new places, sometimes with family or friends. I've gotten plenty of ideas thanks to these adventures. I like to draw from personal experience because I feel it lends a bit of authenticity to a story and its characters. Which is probably why Helen and I still love to attend conventions which involve sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, you name it. Yes, we are Geeks and proud of it.

“Welcome to Pointer, West Virginia” For those who have never heard of this place, do not fret. It doesn’t exist. I made it up to be the setting for “The Vampyre Blogs”. A good setting is extremely important to any story. Your story’s setting can shape your character’s personality depending on how long they’ve lived…
I want to thank everyone who participated and took advantage of getting a free copy of my paranormal/mystery “THE BRIDGE”. The first time I did a Free giveaway, less than 450 people took advantage of the opportunity. This time I did wee bit better… 896!!! And to all of you who helped spread the word…
These days, books as well as movies are often advertised with trailers that use images and sound to give you an idea of the flavor of the book, as well as sharing information about genre, storyline, and availability. Allan Krummenacker was a huge help with this, doing the actual production based on music and images…
As some of you may or may not know, besides being an author I’m also an artist. I work mainly with soft pastels and charcoal, and have designed and painted the covers for three of our books. Now I do not consider myself a ‘professional’ cover designer, but I’ve also seen artwork on books that…
