Reblogged from fellow author… and yes it’s all true
Originally from Levittown NY, I currently reside somewhere along the coast in California with my wife/co-author Helen.
A lot of my creativity was born from my lifelong love of science fiction and horror. As a child I grew up on the original Dark Shadows, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Doctor Who (which I still follow) and Anime.
A few of my favorite authors are HP Lovecraft, Jane Austen, Robert Asprin, Jodi Lynn Nye, Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, and so many more.
However, I do not spend all our time sitting behind a desk writing. I like to get out and try new things. We also like to explore new places, sometimes with family or friends. I've gotten plenty of ideas thanks to these adventures. I like to draw from personal experience because I feel it lends a bit of authenticity to a story and its characters. Which is probably why Helen and I still love to attend conventions which involve sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, you name it. Yes, we are Geeks and proud of it.
It’s Christmas Eve, so it’s time to bring you something ‘completely’ different… In the United Kingdom there is a tradition of telling a ghost or creepy story at this time of the year. If you love vampires, noir/mystery detectives set in 1947, this is the one you’ve been waiting for. And a little FYI, I did the narrating and am recording on…
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog. Here’s an excerpt: A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,600 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 27 trips to carry that many people. Click here to see the…
Our first novel in the Para-Earth Series, is going to get a complete rewrite! Yes, you are reading that correctly. You’re eyes are not playing tricks on you. I know earlier this year I said I was going to try and clean up “The Bridge”, but the further I got into reading it, the more…
I managed to get through my mid-term for Women Studies this week. It wasn’t easy. 2 parter, first was multiple choice, then an 80 minute handwritten essay. I’ve still got writer’s cramp from that part. Plus I had 2 other exams this week and survived them. This should all sound good right? Wrong. I’ve got…
In fact it’s been a few months since I posted any of my actual writing in progress here. Just want to let everyone know I will remedy that situation in a few days. A lot has been going on as you all know from my previous posts. I’m doing better, my Mom’s going to be…
