Originally from Levittown NY, I currently reside somewhere along the coast in California with my wife/co-author Helen.
A lot of my creativity was born from my lifelong love of science fiction and horror. As a child I grew up on the original Dark Shadows, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Doctor Who (which I still follow) and Anime.
A few of my favorite authors are HP Lovecraft, Jane Austen, Robert Asprin, Jodi Lynn Nye, Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, and so many more.
However, I do not spend all our time sitting behind a desk writing. I like to get out and try new things. We also like to explore new places, sometimes with family or friends. I've gotten plenty of ideas thanks to these adventures. I like to draw from personal experience because I feel it lends a bit of authenticity to a story and its characters. Which is probably why Helen and I still love to attend conventions which involve sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, you name it. Yes, we are Geeks and proud of it.

Ordered some printed copies of my debut novel “The Bridge”. Planning to offer sign and personalize them to those who are interested. I’ll give more details shortly. Stay tuned.
A PAGE TURNER 5.0 out of 5 stars By John Maberry on December 5, 2015 Format: Kindle EditionVerified Purchase A good follow up to The Bridge, also by this author. A little slow and moderately confusing at the start with a “Family History” that functions as a prologue but isn’t 100% tied into the rest…
For those of you who didn’t know, I run another blog called “The Vampyre Blogs – Private Edition” which just passed the 10,000 view mark! Here’s the link for anyone who’d like to check it out: http://thevampyreblogs.blogspot.com/ I started this blog with the sole purpose of introducing the idea of a science-fiction vampyre who was…
His name is Jack, his nickname is “Jackpot” and with good reason. Killed by a werewolf, but changed at the last moment by vampires he is spared from death. Then by a freak chance, he becomes mortal once more after an encounter with another werewolf. Now he’s not completely human, vampire or werewolf… he’s something…
