Book Review for “The Ship”, written by Allan Krummenacker
YAY! The first review of my new book “THE SHIP”! So excited!
YAY! The first review of my new book “THE SHIP”! So excited!
Originally from Levittown NY, I currently reside somewhere along the coast in California with my wife/co-author Helen.
A lot of my creativity was born from my lifelong love of science fiction and horror. As a child I grew up on the original Dark Shadows, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Doctor Who (which I still follow) and Anime.
A few of my favorite authors are HP Lovecraft, Jane Austen, Robert Asprin, Jodi Lynn Nye, Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Edgar Allan Poe, and so many more.
However, I do not spend all our time sitting behind a desk writing. I like to get out and try new things. We also like to explore new places, sometimes with family or friends. I've gotten plenty of ideas thanks to these adventures. I like to draw from personal experience because I feel it lends a bit of authenticity to a story and its characters. Which is probably why Helen and I still love to attend conventions which involve sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, you name it. Yes, we are Geeks and proud of it.
My first novel “The Bridge” is a blend of horror/paranormal/mystery/science fiction. The manuscript is in New York waiting to be read by an agent who requested it.  I’m posting the prologue here today for those who have not had a taste of my writing style. I hope you enjoy… THE BRIDGE by Allan Krummenacker PROLOGUE…
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who took part in my “Hobbit Birthday Party Weekend”. Â Whether you picked up a copy of the book or helped promote it, thank you so much. Â We all know getting the word out about a brand new book is more than half the battle for Indie Authors….
Isaac Asimov is well known for his extremely numerous writing contributions to science and science fiction. Â But not everyone knows he was also a mystery author and regular contributor to Ellery Queen Magazine, as well as a few others. Â His most famous crime sleuths never actually went to a crime scene, nor did they go…
Starting today it’s Free (Sound) Sample Saturday over on Helen’s Blog “The Forever Detective”. What is Free (sound) Sample Saturday? Simple, it’s where she shares a chapter (or two in this case) from the Audible version of her 1st solo book “Forever’s Too Long”. A mystery involving vampires in the noir setting of 1947 New…
FROM NOW UNTIL MIDNIGHT AUGUST 10th… Both books in my Para-Earth Series are just $0.99 cents a piece. “THE BRIDGE” and “THE SHIP” have earned multiple 4 and 5 star reviews on both Amazon and Smashwords, and you can sample both books at either site for free. *PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW SO…
It’s been a while since I did a book review so I’d say we’re do for a new one. Right? Well even if you said no, this post is going to be a book review anyway, especially since the book in question is by an author I’ve long heard about and was a huge influence…

Nice! Congrats.
Thank you. Really excited. I was nervous from the start about this book, being only my second one. I really wanted to make sure it was just as exciting and better than the first. Didn’t want to end up as a “One-Hit Wonder”.
I have the same fear. I’m working on a new novel after the trilogy but it’s very different so I’m going through that now.
Looks like you can stop worrying, now. 🙂
I have every confidence you’ll do even better.
