Finally started the book cover yesterday morning. It’s similar yet different to the previous one, I kept the lower half and have changed upper portion but I think it’s going to work. Finishing this piece is going to take a little while and so will formatting the book when I finally get to that in a few days. Plus, I still have to do a back cover blurb, do dedication and acknowledgement pages.
All this on top of finishing up college for this semester. I might be looking at Christmas Day or New Year’s Day release (but ONLY if it is really ready). Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.
In the meantime here is what I managed to get done yesterday…

Actually this is intended to be the actual cover, PROVIDED it comes out the way I want. What you’re seeing is only 1 days work. I have a lot to fill in yet. We’ll see where it goes. Keep your fingers crossed for me… unless that makes typing too difficult for you of course.

lol. I’m a two finger hunt and peck girl – trying to learn to touch type is waaaay to slow for me. I’m guessing you’ll darken the title some more but I like this version much better than the last post had.

Yes I will be darkening the title considerably once I’ve finished the bridge itself to see how much darker it needs to be. Like you, I prefer this version much more as well. I was a little afraid of doing a full color version, but I really wanted my first book to have something that really catches the readers eyes right off the bat. And don’t feel bad about hunt and peck, some days I still have to do that. As long as we get the job done in the end it doesn’t matter how we did it. LOL!
